Dr. Sammy Ali
Cardiologist

Dr. Sammy Ali is a cardiologist with an expertise in non-invasive cardiac evaluation and advanced echocardiography.   He has previously served as the Lead of Non-invasive Cardiology at St. Mary’s General Hospital and as the Medical Director of Echocardiography at both St. Mary’s and Guelph General Hospital’s.    Dr. Ali earned his medical degree at McMaster University and pursued postgraduate training in Cardiology at the University of Toronto.

Dr. Ahmed Al Riyami
Cardiologist
Dr Al-Riyami is a cardiologist at Southlake Hospital in Newmarket with a focus on cardiac critical care and imaging and interest in athlete care and sports cardiology. He completed his medical degree at the Sultan Qaboos University in Oman then trained in internal medicine, adult and Interventional cardiology at the University of Toronto, serving as a chief fellow during last year of training. He also trained in patient safety and quality of care at the Harvard Medical School. He is involved in training medical students and residents at the university of Toronto and McMaster University. In his spare time, he enjoys music, travel, and swimming.
Dr. Arun Natarajan
Cardiologist
Dr. Arun Natarajan earned his medical degree from NTR University of Health Sciences. He is currently a prominent part of the St. Mary’s Cardiology department as well as being part of the KW-CardioPulmonary Services health facility.
Dr. Ali Pourdjabbar
Cardiologist
Dr. Ali Pourdjabbar earned his medical degree and completed his postgraduate training at University of Ottawa. He currently practices at both St. Mary’s General Hospital and KW-Cardiopulmonary Services Clinic.
Dr. Wess Osman
Cardiologist

Dr. Wess Osman, is a cardiologist who obtained his medical degree from the University of Toronto and went on to complete his postgraduate training at Queens University. A native of Guelph, Dr. Osman is delighted to return to his roots after gaining invaluable experience practicing at Kingston General Hospital.

Dr. Usha Manian
Cardiologist
Dr. Usha Manian is a non-invasive cardiologist at St. Mary’s General Hospital in Kitchener. She completed her cardiology and level III echocardiography training at Western University. She was the former Canadian Society of Echocardiography trainee representative (2019-2020)
Dr. Iraj Afzal
Internal Medicine

Dr. Iraj Afzal is an Internal Medicine specialist with focused expertise in Cardiology and Critical Care. He trained in the United States alongside Northwell Health cardiologists, recognized among the top experts in New York State. He completed his medical degree at the American University of the Caribbean School of Medicine, followed by postgraduate training at Nassau University Medical Center.

Dr. Afzal holds privileges at Oak Valley Health, where he works within the Department of Medicine.

Dr. Anu Ganapathy
Internal Medicine

Dr. Anu Ganapathy is a Critical Care physician with a special interest in non-invasive cardiology. She completed her Internal Medicine training at Michigan State University and her Critical Care fellowship at the University of Toronto. She then pursued a Perioperative Medicine Fellowship (Division of Cardiology) at McMaster University.

Dr. Ganapathy is certified in Adult Echocardiography by the American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography. She currently practices as an Intensivist at Guelph General Hospital and provides Internal Medicine care at William Osler Health System. She is also an Assistant Clinical Professor of Medicine at McMaster University and a Clinical Instructor at Toronto Metropolitan University. Additionally, she serves as the Hospital Donation Physician for Trillium Gift of Life Network.
